WIN this 2 foot tall, hand-painted, transformed doll!

WIN THIS DOLL! I am holding a drawing starting today which will run through December 1st.   We really need to sell the last of the 100 "Just K.I.D.S." dolls before December 15th in order to reach our goal for this campaign and present a check to the Grace Network. Everyone who purchases a "Just K.I.D.S" doll between now and December 1st will be entered into the drawing to WIN this doll absolutely free (including shipping). We must however, sell all remaining 30 dolls by that date. So be sure to tell your friends and get everyone you know to participate. Thanks for helping out. I found a 2 foot tall used Bratz doll, but when she arrived she had sustained damage and was headed for the trash bin. Under her chin a small piece had cracked  away and her head wobbled around without support. I was so sad. She spent 5 hours last night undergoing cervical spine surgery and woke up in recovery with just a small scar at the base of her neck. Her head no longer

I had a day off and decided to take the boys fishing....

As soon as the three new boys moved into the neighborhood they heard about a great fishing hole in the Wood's Secret Garden. With poles in hand and a large enough bucket to hold their morning catch they decided to take the short hike through the uncharted territory.  Even though they had heat rumors about the Wood's Secret Garden" being a magical place, they could hardly believe that such a beautiful place could exist inside a senior mobile home part  They had a most wonderful adventure this morning and will return soon to this amazing place! I am transforming Bratz dolls into just K.I.D.S to raise money for an organization that helps rescue kids out of the sex trafficking industry.  If you are interested in helping with this campaign, please contact me or visit my facebook and etsy shop and help spread the word by sharing and liking. It's the little things...

The most amazing thing happened at the Craft Fair and it had nothing to do with my dolls! A year ago, at the same craft fair, I met a young woman named Valerie (who was also vending at the show near me). Last year, she saw the hand crafted pendants I was selling and she wanted to have me make a couple memory pendants (one for her sister and one for her grandma). She had lost her Aunt Riley to cancer and the pendants were photo pendants of Riley. When I arrived this morning  there was Valerie! She greeted me with a hug and said, "I am so glad you are here. I wanted to tell you that my grandma wears the pendant you made last year every single day. She absolutely loves it!" I actually teared up! What a wonderful thing. To think that I had a small little part of bringing such joy into the life of Valerie's grandmother was a bit overwhelming for me. And if that wasn't enough.... A few hours later, Valerie came over to my table and said, "There is someone tha

Three Years Later! An Amazing Story of God's Providence in our Lives!

More than three years ago a sweet lady from Indiana purchased these hand-illustrated boots for her granddaughter and wrote: “Thank you, Dianna ~ I'm SO delighted to be making this purchase!   You have no idea how much it means to me to be able to buy these for my granddaughter. The fact that she'll need to grow into them both doesn't matter a bit, because with the works of art that these two pairs of boots are, having them ready for her when her little feet are ready, is a joy to anticipate.    Your gift of art and faith is a wonderful blessing to let us share by buying these, and your work will be cherished in my daughter's and granddaughter's lives, I can tell you that!  I have thought about this sweet lady many times over the years and just recently felt led to write to her.  I was overwhelmed with thoughts of wonder.  “Did her little granddaughter grow into them yet?” How often we think about people and never put pen to paper' or, pick u

We are half way there! They are not Tree Change Dolls, but they are wonderful in their own way!

Most of you know by now that I was inspired by an Australian artist who's transformed "Bratz" dolls known as "Tree Change Dolls" went viral earlier this year.  After developing my own style, I decided to make 100 dolls and give 50% of the proceeds to an organization that helps rescue kids out of the sex trafficking industry.  I also decided to keep mine reasonably priced (starting at just $24.99 each) so that more people could afford them. My line of dolls is called "Just K.I.D.S" and the acronym stands for recapturing K indness & I nnocence & D elighting in the S weetness of C hildhood. Our desire is to have all 100 sold before Christmas so that we can present a check to the organization before the Holiday season.  This is truly a non-profit, labor of love. To date we have sold 51 dolls!  But, time is ticking away.  I hope you visit my shop and purchase at least one.  You will make a little girl very happy and also know that your purchas

Fall is in the air!

T his morning I had an idea. So, while still in my pajamas, I go out to the little area on the corner of our street and the main street, where I know there are tons of fallen leaves from the Japanese Maple tree that grows near the pond. I set up the scene and begin the "Fall" photo session. Little did I know what joy this would bring to passerby's out walking their dogs. I even heard a grumpy old man, who as never said a word, say under his breath as he walked by , "Well that is the cutest things I have seen in a long time". Of course, he may have been referring to my pajamas, lol. How delightful! I am so excited about the response to my "Just K.I.D.S" bratz transformed dolls. Many of you know that I transformed 100 "bratz" dolls in order to raise money for an organization that helps rescue kids from the sex trafficking industry! The campaign is well underway with 31 dolls sold to date. The goal is to have them a

Kids Love K.I.D.S!

The goal is to have them all sold before Christmas in order to present a check to the organization before the holiday season.  The extra wonderful thing about this campaign is that many of the ladies that have purchased the dolls for the little girls in their lives have sent pictures of the little girls holding their dolls and their little faces say it all!  Kids absolutely love K.I.D.S! If you want to make the little girls in your life really happy and at the same time help other kids, I encourage you to visit my shop and make your purchase.

The Campaign is on...

I have finished the transformation of 100 "Bratz" dolls and most have been listed in my etsy shop. The goal is to sell all 100 dolls before Christmas so that we can present a check to the organization who helps rescue girls out of the sex trafficking industry. These dolls are only $24.99, which means you can buy 8 of them for the price of one "Tree Change" doll.  I am not making a profit on these dolls.  This is purely a labor of love and I pray you will join me in this campaign.  For those who are not familiar with this project: I purchase original Bratz dolls from second hand stores and online.  I begin by giving them a good bath and washing their hair. I then comb, cut and restyle it. Now for the fun part! I completely remove their factory faces (wipe the slate clean, so to speak) Once the ugly is all gone, I give them each a fresh, sweet, new, hand-painted face which is sealed with polyurethane. Once their hair and face is complete, I create un

Another Creature found in the Wood's Secret Garden

No, that is not the creature.  That is what started our exploration.  We recently built a small back patio so that we could sit out back and watch the zucchini grow.  Seriously, have you ever noticed how fast zucchini grows?  Okay, back to that thing up there.  Over the last few weeks we started seeing what looked like mouse droppings, only they had a little white ball on the end of them.  So, being who we are, we wanted to solve the mystery.  So, I googled, "droppings with white tips" and guess what?  We discovered that what we were seeing were lizard droppings.  Yep, you heard me right--lizard droppings.  Here is what I have learned:  "Lizard droppings have white tips due to the process of reptile elimination: both feces and urine exit their body through the same opening: the cloaca. Lizards are very water-efficient and their urine is quite concentrated. The white tip on the droppings is uric acid crystals."  In case you were all wondering.  Ha I am always am

Just Listed Twelve of the 100 "Just K.I.D.S" dolls

I know a lot of people are doing the "tree change" thing.  I just finished 100 myself and have posted 12.  50% of the proceeds will be going to organizations that help rescue kids out of the sex trafficking industry.  I would really appreciate your help in promoting this worthy cause.  Let me know what you think of my kids. Thanks so much.  Here is a link to one of the listings: https://www.etsy.com/listing/240958357/bratz-transformed-into-just-kids-bratz?ref=shop_home_feat_1
