This took forever!  After transforming the 24 inch Bratz Dolls into "Just K.I.D.S" as part of the campaign to help rescue kids trapped in the sex trafficking industry, I got the crazy idea to convert a vintage suitcase into a doll trunk.  After making the inside compartments and decoupaging and hand painting the entire outside of the suitcase (both front and back) the set is now complete and up for auction on Ebay. Today was a "Do anything you want" day. These haven't come around very often and I was really excited to have no obligations and no housework, etc, I got this idea to use a bunch of the odds and ends (left over from the doll campaign) and to really challenge myself, artistically. I decided to attempt a Captain Jack Sparrow" doll.  He's a work in progress. Much more work needed on the face - But, I am thrilled with the progress. I will post the final in a few days, once I have made some corrections to his features on the face and added the detailing to the custom. WIN THIS DOLL! I am holding a drawing starting today which will run through December 1st.   We really need to sell the last of the 100 "Just K.I.D.S." dolls before December 15th in order to reach our goal for this campaign and present a check to the Grace Network. I found a 2 foot tall used Bratz doll, but when she arrived she had sustained damage and was headed for the trash bin. Under her chin a small piece had cracked  away and her head wobbled around without support. I was so sad. She spent 5 hours last night undergoing cervical spine surgery and woke up in recovery with just a small scar at the base of her neck. Her head no longer...

Most of you know by now that I was inspired by an Australian artist who's transformed "Bratz" dolls known as "Tree Change Dolls" went viral earlier this year.  After developing my own style, I decided to make 100 dolls and give 50% of the proceeds to an organization that helps rescue kids out of the sex trafficking industry.  I also decided to keep mine reasonably priced (starting at just $24.99 each) so that more people could afford them. My line of dolls is called "Just K.I.D.S" and the acronym stands for recapturing K indness & I nnocence & D elighting in the S weetness of C hildhood. Our desire is to have all 100 sold before Christmas so that we can present a check to the organization before the Holiday season.  This is truly a non-profit, labor of love. I am so excited about the response to my "Just K.I.D.S" bratz transformed dolls.  Many of you know that I transformed 100 "bratz" dolls in order to raise money for an organization that helps rescue kids from the sex trafficking industry!  The campaign is well underway with 31 dolls sold to date.  The goal is to have them all sold before Christmas in order to present a check to the organization before the holiday season.  The extra wonderful thing about this campaign is that many of the ladies that have purchased the dolls for the little girls in their lives have sent pictures of the little girls holding their dolls and their little faces say it all!  Kids absolutely love K.I.D.S! I have finished the transformation of 100 "Bratz" dolls and most have been listed in my etsy shop.
