California Artist Rescues Dolls in Order to Help Rescue Real Kids

Since Tree Change Dolls went viral in January of 2015, artist Sonia Singh has inspired thousands of artists across the globe to use their artistic abilities to turn original Bratz dolls into more realistic and childlike dolls for children.  California artist, Dianna Wood, decided to create her own version of these transformed Bratz which she calls "Just K.I.D.S." in order to make money for organizations that help rescue kids trapped in the sex trafficking industry. The biggest difference, is that Tree Change Dolls are sold for well over $200 dollars each and sell out in minutes.  Dianna keeps her dolls affordable with prices starting at only $24.99.  Dianna created over 100 dolls in 2015 and the Wood's were able to give $1,250 dollars at the end of 2015 to an organization that works both locally and internationally to help put an end to sex trafficking and to provide safe houses for girls who are rescued out of captivity. She has once again put her artistic a...

The Campaign Continues...

She was originally a 24" (2 foot tall) limited edition Bratz doll.  She has a new face and comes with seven different outfits.  Remember 50% of the proceeds go to an organization that helps rescue kids trapped in the sex trafficking industry. Click here!

These aren't "Tree Change Dolls"; but, they are wonderful and also affordable!

Because the artist and creator of the fabulous "Tree Change" dolls was gracious enough to create video's so that anyone who wanted to give it a try would have an idea of how to go about the process of re-purposing "Bratz" dolls, artisans from around the world are now able to flood the market with wonderful hand-painted dolls providing moms and grandma's with options for the little girls in their lives so that they won't have to purchase the over-sexualized and, frankly demeaning to women, "Bratz" and "Monster High" dolls. For many the original Tree Change Dolls are simply out of reach because of the cost and the limited supply.  I have decided to keep mine affordable and make no real profit from the sale of my "Just K.I.D.S" dolls. I am so grateful that Sonja chose to share this craft with the world so that there are now so many options for so many kids.  Tree Change Dolls are now selling for $260+ dollars a doll.  For...

The Campaign Continues...

We were able to reach our original goal of making and selling 100 Transformed Bratz dolls to benefit an organization that helps rescue children trapped in the sex trafficking industry.  For that we are very thankful and have decided to continue the campaign throughout the year.  That means that almost all of the profit from the sell of my "Just K.I.D.S" dolls during calendar year 2016 will again go to such an organization.  Here is one of my newest kids on the block: While sitting out back enjoying the crisp morning air, the husband noticed that there was moss growing on top of the short little side yard fence. And coming up out of the moss, were sparkly green sprouts of some sort. My little hippie kid really wanted to get a closer look and so did I. So, even though she got a little dirty and I had to clean her up afterwards, it was well worth the adventure. We took a bunch of cool pictures! Enjoy! She even has hand painted Birken...

Amazing Bratz Transformation

I finally had to realize that there is only so much one can do with an original "Bratz Boyz" doll in terms of transforming them into the likeness of real person. So, after working a few more hours on his face, I have decided that he is done! I will be auctioning him off on ebay to the highest bidder and will announce on this page when the auction starts. Please keep in mind, he is a one-of-a-kind art doll. Not a doll to be played with by children. Please click through all the pictures (I posted several) to get a good look at all the detailed features.

We are half way there! They are not Tree Change Dolls, but they are wonderful in their own way!

Most of you know by now that I was inspired by an Australian artist who's transformed "Bratz" dolls known as "Tree Change Dolls" went viral earlier this year.  After developing my own style, I decided to make 100 dolls and give 50% of the proceeds to an organization that helps rescue kids out of the sex trafficking industry.  I also decided to keep mine reasonably priced (starting at just $24.99 each) so that more people could afford them. My line of dolls is called "Just K.I.D.S" and the acronym stands for recapturing K indness & I nnocence & D elighting in the S weetness of C hildhood. Our desire is to have all 100 sold before Christmas so that we can present a check to the organization before the Holiday season.  This is truly a non-profit, labor of love. To date we have sold 51 dolls!  But, time is ticking away.  I hope you visit my shop and purchase at least one.  You will make a little girl very happy and also know that your purchas...

Fall is in the air!

T his morning I had an idea. So, while still in my pajamas, I go out to the little area on the corner of our street and the main street, where I know there are tons of fallen leaves from the Japanese Maple tree that grows near the pond. I set up the scene and begin the "Fall" photo session. Little did I know what joy this would bring to passerby's out walking their dogs. I even heard a grumpy old man, who as never said a word, say under his breath as he walked by , "Well that is the cutest things I have seen in a long time". Of course, he may have been referring to my pajamas, lol. How delightful! I am so excited about the response to my "Just K.I.D.S" bratz transformed dolls. Many of you know that I transformed 100 "bratz" dolls in order to raise money for an organization that helps rescue kids from the sex trafficking industry! The campaign is well underway with 31 dolls sold to date. The goal is to have them a...
